TJ Oshie Stanley Cup Bobblehead Review

(Caps Outsider)

The Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup Champions and that means one thing… WE GET BOBBLEHEADS! As we detailed already, there are going to be 24 Stanley Cup-themed bobbleheads, produced by FOCO, available come September. Since that’s still a ways away we thought it would be fun to spend that time taking a closer look at each bobblehead included in this lineup.

T.J. Sochi Oshie inked a HUMONGOUS deal during last offseason that had fans everywhere high on mixed emotions after major components of the team ended up departing partly due to that deal. High expectations were met with a severe goal scoring drought in the regular season but, oh did he ever turn it on in the playoffs. When Jakub Vrana, who we’re beginning to wish had a bobblehead in this collection, finally found his way out of the doghouse, he and Oshie were arguably the most dominant duo in the NHL playoffs whether they found themselves alongside Nicklas Backstrom or Lars Eller. All of the low points washed away when T.J. lifted that Cup above his head and now we get a bobblehead to remember it forever.

This is probably one of our favorite bobbleheads out of this group. The one thing that draws us into this rendition of Oshie is that signature smirk of a smile he’s always showing off and FOCO was spot on. Wide eyes and a slightly patchy beard help to round our Olympic hero who is now a Stanley Cup Champion.

You can order this, and many others, from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

Now only if they made one of these bad boys for the masses.
