Caps Honor Alex Ovechkin for 600 Career Goals

For what seems like the 600th time, the Capitals honored Alex Ovechkin before the game against the Islanders on Friday, this time for scoring his 600th career goal. He was presented with a really nice painting of himself, which was commissioned when Ovechkin had 591 goals. Check out more of Tony Harris’s NHL artwork here.

The Caps also played a video of several members of the 600-goal club, plus teammates, congratulating Ovechkin for his milestone.

Next major thing for Ovi is 1,000 games, where the Caps no doubt will hold yet another ceremony for him for something.
