Adam Carlson assigned to the Kansas City Mavericks

Caps goalie prospect Adam Carlson has been assigned to the Kansas City Mavericks, the Indy Fuel announced today.

Carlson, 24, played one game for Indy where allowed five goals through two periods on 25 shots on February 2 against the Wheeling Nailers.

Carlson signed a two year contract after his freshman year at Mercyhurst and is a RFA at the end of the season. The Capitals prospect has been moved around to try and get him more consistent ice time.

This will be the third ECHL team Carlson has played for this year. He has a 1-2-1 record, a 3.35 goals against average and a .878 save percentage in seven games. He also played four games for Hershey going 2-2 with a 3.03 GAA and a .903 save percentage.

Brandon Alter covers all three teams in the Washington Capitals Organization. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in May of 2021.
