Caps Fans Defend the Steps

The Capitals finally defended the home ice tonight with a thrilling 4-2 victory against the Penguins and the fans really showed them appreciation in the 3rd period. After the game, some Caps fans made sure to stake their claim to the Portrait Gallery steps, which have been known as a gathering place for Penguins fans after Pittsburgh victories in D.C. over the past few years. We checked out the scene after the game, and although the crowd wasn’t massive in size, they certainly didn’t lack for Capitals spirit. The police even helped chase some Penguins fans back to Pittsburgh. We’ll echo the views of RMNB, when we suggest that Caps Fans flood those steps with Red after Game 7 on Wednesday!
