Hershey’s Djoos Named AHL Player of the Month
Capitals Outsider
Hershey’s Christian Djoos has been named the CCM/AHL Player of the Month after recording 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) with a +10 rating in 13 games during March. Djoos, 22, was drafted in the 7th round in 2012. He has a total of 12 goals, and 43 assists for 55 points this season.
Djoos’s play even earned him a call-up earlier this season. Djoos is looking to become the first Bears blueliner to register 60 points since the 1999-2000 season. Djoos had a memorable night vs. Hartford on Mar. 17, capping the first two-goal game and the first four-point effort of his career by scoring the winning goal in overtime for a 4-3 Hershey victory. Djoos’ four-point evening also tied Hershey’s season-high for the best single game offensive output by a player.
