Coming off a 5-1 loss against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday night, the Hershey Bears looked to grab a win against the Utica Comets Saturday at Giant Center. Joey Cannata got the start for the Chocolate and White. Paul Carey scored at the 5:49 mark of the 1st period. After Utica would tie the game in the first, Chandler Stephenson would give the Bears the lead heading into the locker room with a 2-1 lead.
The Comets would tie the game off a Alexandre Grenier 0:42 seconds into the third period, then held off the Bears’ offensive attack to force overtime. Unfortunately for Hershey, Curtis Valk would score just 21 seconds into the overtime period, giving the Comets the 3.2 win.
The Bears will be back in action tomorrow night when they take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Giant Center. Hershey will look to bounce back from back-to-back losses.
