Yesterday, the Inova twitter account tweeted out a silhouette of the next Capitals bobblehead to be handed out at January’s blood drive. The picture, as seen below, was a lefty shot, as Caps fan David Steinberg pointed out. So it only made sense to be either Nate Schmidt, Lars Eller, Daniel Winnik, Andre Burakovsky, or Taylor Chorney.

This morning the Capitals tweeted out confirmation of the bobblehead to be Capitals possession monster, Lars Eller.

Lars Eller was acquired from the Montreal Canadiens before the season with the idea that he would fill the third line center role. In 30 games he has 3 goals and 6 points while having a revolving door of left and right wings by his side. However, he is second on the Caps in Even Strength Corsi % with a 58.6%, second only to his linemate Jakub Vrana.
The next blood drive will take place on January 28th again at Kettler Capitals Iceplex and we hope to see a packed house that Saturday.
