“My Chris Bourque”: Toddler Meets Hero at Bears Autograph Night

(Caps Outsider)

Sunday night, the Hershey Bears capped off a weekend sweep with their team autograph night. This is always a great way for fans to meet players. The Bears have earned points in eight straight games.

The Rochester Americans came into Chocolate Town. The Americans beat the Bears on October 14th, so the Bears were looking for some payback. The game also saw the return of former Bear Erik Burgdoerfer who signed with the Americans in the offseason. With tonight’s 5-3 win, the Chocolate and White improve to 6-2-2 on the season, sitting in 2nd place in the Atlantic Division.

After the game, fans were treated to a 75 minute autograph session with the Bears. One fan was especially excited to meet her favorite player Chris Bourque.

Meet London, a soon to be 3-year old Bears fan that enjoys games and watching Bourque on the ice. She refers to Bourque as, “My Chris Bourque“.

London got her chance to meet Chris and get his autograph during the team session. The smile says it all.

After meeting Chris, London couldn’t stop smiling and was not about to let go of her team photo that fans received upon enter Giant Center this evening. This is just another example of the impact Bears have on their fans. Such a great night and wonderful event.

The Bears return to action to try and extend their eight game point streak next Friday in a rematch of Saturday’s contest against the Albany Devils.
