Fight

For Some Reason, Jarome Iginla Fought Tom Wilson

The Avalanche’s Jarome Iginla, age 39, got into a second-period fight with the Caps’ 22-year-old pugilist Tom Wilson, also drawing a two-minute instigator penalty and misconduct.

Iginla has had his fair-share of fights, which is bound to happen in a career that started in 1996, when Wilson was a toddler. Wilson, on the other hand, fights fairly regularly, though he didn’t seem to expect to get into this one. The refs were quick to break up this ‘fight’ and the Caps scored on the power play.

Next to scoring, this is the next best thing Wilson can do for his team, and it worked.
