Stingrays Jersey and Logo Design Contest

If you ever wanted to design a professional hockey jersey, now is your chance. The South Carolina Stingrays are partnering with Icethetics to create the club’s 25th Anniversary logo and alternate jersey for the 2017-18 season.

The Stingrays will celebrate their Silver anniversary next season. To do so, they are asking the community and aspiring designers to make a commemorative logo and a new alternate jersey design.

The contest has two components: the 25th Anniversary logo, and the 2017-18 alternate jersey. From today, August 24th, to September 5th at 8 p.m. ET, logo designs are being accepted. Three to five finalists will be selected by the team, then voted on by Icethetics readers for a logo reveal on September 19th.

Starting that day, jersey designs will be accepted until September 25th at 8 p.m. ET. These jerseys must be dark — navy blue or red are the preferred colors. Again, three to five finalists will be selected, then voted on by Icethetics readers — all leading up to a grand unveiling October 10th, 12 days before the 2016-17 regular season begins.

The winner(s) will get a free customized jersey, tickets to see the Stingrays playing in the jersey he/she made, and up to $500 to cover travel expenses.

Full contest rules and regulations are listed on www.icethetics.co/stingrays. The team’s logo history and anniversary logos from the 10th, 15th, and 20th Anniversaries are displayed on the website for inspiration.
