After practice on Day Three of Development Camp, the Washington Capitals first round draft pick Lucas Johansen did his first Reddit AMA. Here are the highlights.
NashvilleAmiibro: What are you expecting from your first dayin the league? Is Ovi going to prank you or are you going to get a break?
Johansen: haha i haven’t met him yet. or thought about it. but I’m sure he would… haha
SonicPunk96: One what defenseman do you look up to, and potentially model your game off of the most? Also how does it feel being reunited with Bowey in the Caps Organization after the year you two had together in Kelowna?
Johansen: I look up to my brother Ryan for sure. Roman Josi is a player I try to model myself after. Good to see Bowey – I missed him alot…
african_children: What kind of advice has your brother given you in preparation for your professional career?
Johansen: “always learn, and always improve your weaknesses”
WakaFlacco: What do you do in your free time? Any video games?
Johansen: NHL…Call of Duty..not very good at either though.
washdccaps: What do you think of DC as a hockey city? Prior to being drafted, what did you think of Washington as a city?
Johansen: Seeing everyone yesterday at fan fest “rock the red” was pretty cool. Didn’t realize, being from the west coast how big of a hockey town it is here.
rufioherpderp: Do you have a guilty pleasure TV show?
Johansen: Prison Break..though I don’t really watch much tv. Does sportscenter count?
mermaidsmiled: In your draft profile you say that your go-to karaoke song is Party For Two by Shania Twain. It’s obviously a duet, so my question is which part do you sing, and who sings the other part?
Johansen: That’s a good question…haha. Depending on how good I’m feeling, I might just sing both parts, lol

Johansen: does it matter? it’s good either way.
