Caps Playoff Anxiety Meter (Game 3)

Tonight was arguably the least anxiety-provoking Capitals playoff game of my lifetime, but nevertheless, here you go.

Pre-game

Alright that’s kinda cool, but ‘orange-out’ doesn’t quite roll off the tongue like ‘red-out’

1st period:

20:00 left, Anxiety Level 6/10, Excitement Level 11/10 – LET’S GET IT.

18:00 left, Anxiety Level 8/10 – Oh boy.

15:00 left, Anxiety Level 6/10 – Hey if they’re gonna keep giving Carlson that shot…

2nd period:

18:00 left, Anxiety Level 6/10 – Still not sure if the Flyers would even score on a 60-minute power play

11:00 left, Anxiety Level 5/10 – Ovi hiding behind the ref like a pro

8:00 left, Anxiety Level 5/10 – It’s getting nasty out there. #PrayForBrooks

2:00 left, Anxiety Level 5/10 – Just remembered the Caps are 0-7 when leading a series 2-0…

3rd period:

18:00 left, Anxiety Level 3/10 – The most un-Caps goal I’ve seen in a long time

16:00 left, Anxiety Level 3/10 – When you realize Holtby has more points in this series than both Simmonds and Giroux…

12:00 left, Anxiety Level 1/10 – Dagger.

8:00 left, Anxiety Level 2/10 – Tsk tsk. When will the Flyers learn that punches don’t equal goals?

5:00 Left, Anxiety Level 0.5/10 – Dagger #2.

1:40 left, Anxiety Level 0.25/10 – Dagger #3.

0:00 left – Close it out on Wednesday so Ovi can attend his Passover Seder Friday.
