There was a major battle for South Carolina this weekend. No, we’re not talking about the South Carolina primary, we’re talking about the Greenville Swamp Rabbits vs. the South Carolina Stingrays.
On Sunday at North Charleston Coliseum, Caps goalie prospect Vitek Vanecek got to wear the Golden Goalie jersey during the game. Read more about the ECHL’s Golden Goalies here.
The Stingrays won, 2-1. Vanacek had 29 saves for Stingrays.
Caps backup goalie Philipp Grubauer was once a Golden Goalie as well.
