Bears Training Camp Opens

Madison Bowey (Caps Outsider)

The Hershey Bears opened their training camp this week with many of the Caps roster cuts from the last few weeks. Bears President/General Manager Doug Yingst announced the addition of Chris Bourque, Carter Camper, Paul Carey, all clearing waivers, and Madison Bowey to the camp roster.

As of now, the Hershey Bears roster is as follows:

GOALTENDERS (3): Dan Ellis, Taran Kozun, Vitek Vanecek

DEFENSEMEN (9): Madison Bowey, Erik Burgdoerfer, Nick D’Agostino, Christian Djoos, Nick Jones, Joey Leach, Mike Moore, Bobby Shea, Tyler Lewington

FORWARDS (14): Riley Barber, Chris Bourque, Travis Boyd, Carter Camper, Paul Carey, Austin Fyten, Dustin Gazley, Caleb Herbert, Miles Koules, Garrett Mitchell, Maxime Sauve, Jakub Vrana, Nathan Walker, Cole Wilson

Mark Dekanich, who was waived by Washington, has been released from his camp tryout and will report to the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL for their training camp. Another Stingrays signee, defenseman Nick D’Agostino, will skate with Hershey before reporting to South Carolina.

The Bears will likely have this roster for their first preseason game against the Albany Devils tomorrow night. Caps Camp is not over yet, so this will not be the final roster for opening night October 10th in Springfield.
