Are you ready to rock? To be a Red Rocker, that is! Once again, the Washington Capitals are looking for personable, energetic young ladies to audition to be a member of the Red Rocker Spirit Squad. The Red Rockers are not traditional cheerleaders, although cheering and encouraging fans to loudly and enthusiastically support the team is part of the job. They are an elite sprit squad, and they act as ambassadors for the Washington Capitals organization at home games and throughout the community. They possess qualities that exude pride in themselves and the organization. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by August 1, 2015, to be considered for employment.
According to the Red Rockers web site, Day 1 of the audition is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 10am, and the Final audition is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2015, also at 10am. Both events will take place at Verizon Center in Washington, DC, with two mandatory practices on July 22 and July 29 from 6-9pm at Sport & Health: Crystal Gateway in Arlington, VA (finalists only).
