Michal Neuvirth warms up. (Caps Outsider)
Former Capitals goalie Michal Neuvirth spelled Jaroslav Halak in the third period Thursday after Halak surrendered his fifth goal of the game.
It was a homecoming of sorts for Neuvirth, who played for Washington for five seasons before being traded to Buffalo – ironically as the Caps themselves acquired Halak – before both players ended up on Long Island.
Caps fans both cheered and booed a little when Neuvirth was introduced, and his former teammates peppered him with shots.
