Photos: The Alex Ovechkin Bobblehead for the Caps 40th Anniversary

Photos by Caps Outsider

The Caps celebrated Ovi bobblehead night in grand fashion Thursday, dismantling the Winnipeg Jets, 5-1. While that will simply be just another W in the books, fans who braved the cold are ultimately left with another whacky-wobbling idol to worship, as more than 19,000 hit the streets.

Even before the game ended, fans listed them on eBay and sure enough, collectors eagerly put in bids.

This figure is different from the other bobbleheads in that it has the Caps’ 40th anniversary logo on the base and a patch on Ovi’s right shoulder. This is far from the first Ovechkin bobblehead – it’s the third that’s been given away at a game – it’s the first SGA (stadium giveaway) since 2008.

Check out our Caps bobblehead database for the other Ovi bobbleheads.
