Barry Trotz Bobbleheads Stuck on Container Ship in West Coast
This Saturday is the last Inova Blood Drive of the calendar year. To wrap up your 2014 Caps bobbles, you will be receiving a Barry Trotz bobblehead when you donate blood.
Or so you thought.
We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but once again, you will not be receiving your bobblehead during the blood drive. For the third blood drive in a row, the bobbleheads are stuck in a place that’s not Kettler Capitals Iceplex.
According to Inova, the Trotz bobble is stuck on a container ship somewhere on the west coast and will not be making an appearance at the blood drive. However, as with past drives, there will be compensation for this MIA bobble in the form of a Barry Trotz autographed photo. Also, each blood donor can enter to win a handful of prizes:
- A trip to Nashville to watch the Caps vs. Preds on January 16/17th – 1 winner
- 2 tickets to the Winter Classic along with hospitality – 2 winners
- Tickets for a Luxury Suite for the game on January 20th against the Edmonton Oilers (Not Ovechkin Bobblehead Night) – 9 winners
Inova has also addressed this and are going the extra mile by personally shipping the bobblehead to everyone who donates blood.
So don’t worry Caps fans, you will be receiving your bobblehead and you don’t even have to lift a finger to do so. There are still a good number of appointments available, so head on over and sign up before it’s too late!
Here you can sign up for each blood drive:
- December 6th, 2014
- January 31st, 2015
- April 18th, 2015
