Five Goals, Free Wings at Chili’s!

For the past several seasons, when the Washington Capitals scored five or more goals at Verizon Center, fans were treated to free chicken wings at Glory Days Grill.

As a Marylander who works in D.C., I wasn’t a fan of this promotion, as the majority of area Glory Days Grills are in Virginia, while the closest on in Maryland to D.C. is in Bowie. Virginians had far more selfish reasons to root for five goals than most Marylanders. Oh, and there isn’t one in D.C., so tough luck to them.

With a couple of early-season five-goal games, many fans recently learned that the Caps have partnered up with Chili’s for the free wings promotion. Guess what. Still no Chili’s in D.C. However, many Marylanders can rejoice, as there is a Chili’s in Rockville, while Bowie residents have one out there, too. And Virginians, of course, still have plenty too choose from. So, let’s just say this partnership will benefit more Marylanders.

Fans have a week from the game day to get their wings.
