New Caps Minifigures All Look the Same (Except Brooks Orpik)

According to this Oyo, most Capitals NHL players look like this. They nailed it with Tom Wilson.

It’s been a while since the fake-LEGO company “Oyo” started putting out Capitals minifigures. In the initial batch, we got Alex Ovechkin, Nick Backstrom, and Mike Green, all of whom looked exactly the same.

In the second wave, we got Jason ChimeraJoel WardJohn Carlson, and Brooks Laich figures. In that group, they dropped the face shield for Chimera and Laich, but Carlson looked like Ovi, Backstrom and Green. Ward looked like Ward.

Now, Oyo released nine new Caps, all of whom look EXACTLY THE SAME, except for Brooks Orpik, who has a goatee.

In fairness, the vast majority of the Oyo minifigures use the generic one pictured above, but there are several variations of the faces on other teams that they didn’t include.

Here are the other Capitals, all of whom look like the generic image at the top, with the exception of the jersey number, the C or A, and the name on the back.

  • Matt Niskanen
  • Eric Fehr
  • Troy Brouwer
  • Karl Alzner
  • Tom Wilson
  • Brooks Orpik
  • Dmitry Orlov
  • Marcus Johansson
  • Evgeny Kuznetsov

Where are the goalies?

Buy these for $12.99 each, or not, or $15 at the team store.

Wait! There’s one more we found. Yes, it’s the Slapshot minifigure, which we could not find on Oyo’s site.
