You Guys! The Caps Dog Calendar Has the Wrong Date for Rosh Hashanah!

(via Washington Post)

For those of you who live and breath all things Washington Capitals, you’re surely still using the 2014 Washington Capitals Canine Calendar to plan your life. So here’s a public service announcement.  The calendar erroneously says that Rosh Hashanah begins on Thursday evening, when it actually begins Wednesday evening at sundown. That could have been a serious problem for those celebrating the Jewish new year. I mean, just imagine showing up at a New Years Eve party the night of January 1.

Anyway, now that we’ve got that out of the way, we still hope Homeward Trails puts out another calendar for next year, and we wish all of the Jewish Caps fans a happy and healthy new year. Oh, and also: Happy birthday Karl Alzner.
