Auditioning for anything can be a daunting experience, and the finalists that auditioned for a coveted spot on the Caps’ Red Rocker spirit squad know the feeling.  While they nervously awaited the judges’ final decision Saturday, one veteran Red Rocker stepped up to ease the stress.  Red Rocker Becca, a teacher from Baltimore, MD, wrote sincere, comical lyrics depicting their week of auditions and the Caps organization.  She sang them with the musical accompaniment for the song “For the First Time in Forever” by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert L. Lopez from the hit movie Frozen.   Her performance broke the tension and gave everyone a reason to smile. Becca is just another shining example of the lovely, creative and talented ladies that work hard to represent the Caps in an upstanding, positive way!

Verizon is open, Kettler too!
So much to learn, so much to do
Who knew that we’d been at it this whole week?

Hair and eyes and nails and lips
Dancing and a bunch of tips
Then it was finally time for us to speak.

They’re gonna ask us lots of questions
To see just what we know
Now it’s time to put on a big show!

So Barry Trotz is the new head coach
Brian MacLellan the new GM
Both are super super important
The team can’t function without them.

Next up is Ted Leonsis
And you know that he’s the king
Ok he’s actually the owner
And he owns everything.
