Just another day at work for Monumental’s Senior Director of Marketing Kim Frank. Photos via the Washington Capitals.

On Sunday, Verizon Center hosted not only the AHL Showcase, featuring the Hershey Bears against the Syracuse Crunch, but also a reptile exhibit for Kids Day. Yup, there were live snakes in Verizon Center, this time without the names Cooke or Avery on the jersey (pardon me for the absurdly dated joke). This included an albino boa constrictor, a regular boa constrictor, a tarantula, a lizard or two, a baby boa and other creatures.

The reptiles didn’t stick around long, though, just a couple hours before face-off, so those unlucky enough to walk around the 400 level before face-off would have missed the exhibit. They were also on display for the Wizards the night before.
