Saturday night, the Reading Royals took on the Kalamazoo Wings in what turned out to be quite the thriller. The 5-2 Royals victory also included 118 penalty minutes. As the Royals put on a show, the K-Wings began to get frustrated and with 4 fighting majors doled out before the Royals netted their fifth, the tensions were already high. A total of 5 misconducts were handed out, two of them to Royals forwards TJ Syner and Brandon Blandina. Captain Yannick Tifu had two goals and Louie Caporusso had a Gordie Howe hat-trick.
