Remember that lovable Christmas video the Capitals released last week? Those sweaters were auctioned off Monday to fans at the Caps-Ducks game.
The winners didn’t just get the sweater, but a signed photo from the player, including Nicklas Backstrom, Troy Brouwer, John Erskine, Mike Green, Brooks Laich, Alex Ovechkin, Aaron Volpatti, Joel Ward and Tom Wilson.
When all the bids were in, the Caps raised $5,225to benefit Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic. Those are some expensive ugly sweaters.
