As we reach the midpoint of the wonderful month of Movember, we hear a lot about the Caps and their efforts, but looking at their AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears, these guys can actually grow mustaches compared to several Caps, like Tom Wilson, Michael Latta, John Carlson and Steve Oleksy (with apologies to Karl Alzner). Last time we checked, the Bears had a grand total of zero dollars raised, which of course isn’t what anybody expected from one of the most renowned franchises in the AHL. However, no more than a week later, Movember Captain David Leggio and his Movembears have finally donated some money, a total of $260, with Garrett Mitchell leading the way with a $125 donation. They have also managed to recruit rookie goaltender Philipp Grubauer to the Mo team, bringing the total of Bears to ten. The captain has also given fans the incentive to donate towards the Bears:

Hopefully, by the end of the month, the Bears can crack four digits in donations. I’m sure with incentives like that, not only players but fans too will keep trying to “Change the Face of Men’s Health.” So make sure you stop by the Movembears page to make a donation!
