Caps Unveil Final SE Division Champions Banner

The banner arrives. (Caps Outsider)

The Capitals unveiled their final Southeast Division championship banner on Thursday, bringing an end to an era that can most positively be defined as regular season division dominance. The Caps won seven titles in 14 years, four more than the Carolina Hurricanes. Their only blip since 2007 was the 2011-12 season when they trailed Florida by two points.

Let these banners be a reminder of the best of times in the past 14 years, as the Caps won more than they lost and brought a new era to Verizon Center.

May the next banners be for winning the Metropolitan Division, and, of course, the Stanley Cup.
