It’s no secret that Mike Green is a very popular hockey player. His boyish good looks, his aggressive style of play, and his philanthropy contribute to his appeal to a broad range of Caps’ fans. Recently, Green launched a new web site, mikegreen52.com, and it is growing rapidly in popularity. It has everything from current happenings, which includes an inside look at a commercial Green shot for Michael & Son to be aired this fall and a really cool video showing the making of his new t-shirts, to an online store that sells his t-shirts ($25) and game-used merchandise. The site also has a blog highlighting photos from fans and Green’s charitable works. Green even sent a thank-you note to his first T-shirt customer.
It wasn’t too long after the site launched when Greenie’s T-shirts sold out. Fans are chomping at the bit for the online store to be restocked. According to No. 52, “I am looking to be restocked by the end of the summer with some new and some of the same designs. Keep checking back on the site and follow me on Twitter for updates.”
