Reading Royals

The Alice Cooper Royals Jersey

Hockey fan and rocker Alice Cooper, 65, played a show at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center in Reading, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, and was presented with a Reading Royals jersey, with the number 18, of course.

A Detroit native, Cooper is a hockey fan, but the team he sees the most may surprise you. Because he lives in Arizona, he goes to about 20 Phoenix Coyotes games a season. He’s there enough that the Coyotes have given him his own bobblehead, which they passed out to fans last year (if the Caps did that, CO would be all over it, no doubt).

The Capitals should do that with one of their celebrity fans. My vote is for Pat Sajak.

Cooper played in Maryland on Monday at Merriweather Post Pavilion, with Marilyn Manson and GWAR. Read Cooper’s interview with The Washington Post, and if you really want, check out the photos and videos I took at the show.
