Hamrlik’s Most Memorable Moment

Roman Hamrlik didn’t have a very memorable stint with the Washington Capitals. He was brought in as a veteran blueliner amidst high expectations for the 2011-12 season, only for the team to collapse and play coin-flip hockey down the stretch and through the second round of the playoffs.

As the 38-year-old was claimed off waivers by the New York Rangers on Wednesday, we here at Caps Outsider wanted to post a list of memorable Hamrlik moments. After searching, we finally found one. He scored the only goal in the Caps’ Game 7 loss to the Rangers in last year’s playoffs. We’re going to assume that’s what impressed the Rangers enough to pick him up.
