Due to the lockout, the 2012 Cappie Awards, where we hand out fake awards to Caps bloggers, are cancelled (check out the awards from last season). Too many Caps bloggers moved on or stopped posting since the lockout. Instead, we extend thanks to our colleagues at Japers’ Rink and the Washington Post for continued support. We thank the teams we cover: The South Carolina Stingrays in the early part of 2012, the Reading Royals, the Hershey Bears, and the Washington Capitals. Most importantly, we thank our readers. Here’s to NHL hockey in 2013. Happy New Year.
