Christmas came a little early for Capitals prospect Riley Barber as the 6th round draft pick from the 2012 NHL Draft was selected to be part of the American squad that will play in the 2013 World Junior Championships. Barber not only leads the University of Miami (Ohio) in goals and points, but also leads all freshman in scoring nationally.

The 2013 World Junior Championships will take place in Ufa, Russia between December 26th and January 5th. All games will be televised in the United States on the NHL Network while TSN will broadcast all games in Canada.
