Defenseman Dmitry Orlov left Thursday night’s AHL Showcase game against the Norfolk Admirals early. It was announced by the team that he is day-to-day with an upper body injury. Orlov took a hard hit up high late in the first period. He did not return for Hershey. Capitals Outsider will update this story as more information becomes available.
After the game, Head Coach Mark French said he wouldn’t know more about Orlov’s status until he met with the doctors.
“I don’t think it’s anything serious, but obviously he wasn’t able to return,” he said.
