Movember Begins: Alzner, Erskine, Holtby Grow Mustaches for Charity

It’s Movember time again, and even though there’s a lockout going on, it’s not stopping some Caps from raising money for men’s health initiatives. This year, John Erskine, Karl Alzner, Braden Holtby and several Bears stepped up. Alzner found himself on George Parros’s team. “I think I may have been drafted,” he told me when he realized who’s team he was on. “That’s a pretty famous mustache he has, so I’m happy to be a part of that.” Read our interview with Alzner over at Capitals Insider.

Also check out the Hershey Bears, including HoltbyGarrett Mitchell, captain Boyd Kane and goalie Dany Sabourin.

NOTE: Remember that when donating to accounts based on Movember’s Canadien website, your donation gets converted to Canadien currency. Currently, the dollars are very close in value but you may see a few cents difference in what you’re charged vs. what you donated.

Who will grow the best mustache? Our bet for this year, as always, is Erskine (photos from previous years).
