December 7, 2011. That’s when the 161-day lockout ended for the NBA, as its season was shortened from 82 to 66 games. Though the NHL is not the NBA, it can still serve as a reminder that we still may see our beloved Caps play in this calendar year. It’s also a heckuvalot more positive to look at the NBA’s dealings than to consider what happened the last time the NHL went through this.

So now, we ask you, the reader, when will the lockout end? Keep in mind that the results of this poll are certain to accurately determine the outcome.

When will the lockout end?

  • Season is gone and our lives are ruined (52%, 23 Votes)
  • November (23%, 10 Votes)
  • December (9%, 4 Votes)
  • January (9%, 4 Votes)
  • October (7%, 3 Votes)
  • February (0%, 0 Votes)
  • March (0%, 0 Votes)
