Apparently the Capitals version of the “Because It’s The Cup” commercial has been released (stick tap to RMNB) and is available on the YouTube machine :

Color me unimpressed. Honestly when I first saw this, I thought it was a fan produced video. Maybe it’s the weak voice of the narrator but this commercial just didn’t do much for me. For some reason, the NHL enables Google Ads on these videos, and that just screams of desperation to me. Think about it, they are enabling advertising, ON THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS! What do you think?
