This is the second year sophomore defenseman John Carlson is participating in Movember, and he currently leads all Caps in donations.
“Cancer is something that I’ve had to deal with in my family. Anything this easy to help raise money for a great cause is a no brainer for me and I’m happy to do it,” Carlson said.
Unfortunately for Carlson, who turns 22 in January, growing the actual mustache is the most difficult part. It is there. It’s just very light-colored and short.
Caps Outsider: “That’s the best you can do?”
John: (smiling) “Yeah”
Perhaps in a few years he’ll look more like John Erskine.
