Today, we here at Capitals Outsider wish Marcus Johansson a happy 21st birthday. The Caps are expecting him to have a breakout year. Looking to get him a gift to celebrate one of his biggest birthdays of his life? We’ve got you covered!
1) A set of golf clubs
One hobby that MoJo enjoys in the offseason is golf. While the Capitals have been able to reserve some tee times come April and May the last few years, this year they probably should hold off until mid-June, after they have their respective days with the Stanley Cup.
2) Books
MoJo’s favorite subject in school growing up was English. So with the increased amount of traveling the Capitals will do this year (up to 37,969 miles this year from 32,401 miles last year, mostly due to Winnipeg), the more books you can buy him, the more time he can kill while on the road.
3) Video Games
Not surprising, Marcus plays A LOT of video games. His favorite game? Call of Duty. While he’s probably got enough video games to keep me planted on my couch for the next six months, a few more couldn’t hurt (although I would probably stay away from buying him NHL 12).
