How to Subtly Incorporate the Caps Into a Wedding

by Random

No matter how big of a Caps fan you may be, having a Caps-themed wedding likely isn’t in your future. To do it right, you’d have to rent out Verizon Center, get everyone in skates and in red jerseys (with the bride, of course, wearing the Winter Classic jersey), and knock out the groom’s front tooth. Doing all of this requires a lot of planning and research on couples who have already done it, like William “Goat” Stilwell, or these folks:

Realistically though, most people would be hard-pressed to find a partner willing to go those routes. Trying to incorporate your favorite team into your nuptials – without going overboard and offending your Pittsburgh relatives – requires subtlety and class.

Let me introduce you to this idea, pulled off by D.C. Sports Box writer Abram Fox, who likely wanted to go the extreme route before his bride talked some sense into him. (Fox is the brother of Capitals guest services specialist Matt Fox, pictured center.)

A pin on the boutonniere.

But wait! There’s more.

Even the Weagle old eagle gets a spot on this wondrous day in the happy couple’s lives.

Goof on me all you want for posting this, but you’ll thank me when you get married.

capsoutsider I wouldn't call the other pin a Weagle. The old eagle with stars (black and bronze) is usually a screaming or swooping eagle.

TheBlove I was wondering that. What's a Weagle, then?

capsoutsider That's the W-shaped eagle on the sleeve of the current jerseys... and your logo.
