Not News: Ten Reasons Varly Would’ve Picked KHL

Rumors and reports were swirling yesterday that Semyon Varlamov was on his way back to Russia to play in the KHL. Today, he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche for draft picks. This is not the worst news in the world for Capitals fans since Michal Neuvirth and Braden Holtby are destined for stardom, though there is chatter that the Caps may pick up a veteran goaltender.

Anyway, we thought of several reasons Varly contemplated going back to the motherland, and though it didn’t happen, we didn’t want to waste this opportunity to contribute to the blogosphere and recklessly keep alive rumors that he still might be going.


HAHAHAHAHA we so funny.
