It’s Go Green Day at the Washington-Chicago game (ironically with Mike Green out of the lineup.) The jerseys were put up for auction in the first and second periods and the proceeds went to charity.
Not sure if the Caps have ever done this before with the green jerseys, but Peter Bondra has no recollection of any St. Patrick’s Day festivities other than going out for beers. As if hockey players need a holiday to do that.
