Nate Ewell, the Caps’ Director of Media Relations, announced on Twitter that he is leaving the Caps to be the director of communications at College Hockey, Inc.
“Sad to leave the Caps – team, media, fans – but excited to get back to college pucks (and New England). Last day with the Caps will be 2/9,” Ewell said on Twitter.
No word on whether it was the bloggers who drove him crazy and made him want to leave the team.
Ewell became quite a personality with the organization as he was an active Twitter participant and frequently quoted by media.
We all wish Nate the best.The Capitals obtain future considerations for the trade, and will be looking to replace him with a second line center.
