Upper Deck has created a set of NHL Winter Classic Hockey Cards, which were given out to fans attending the game. I haven’t really kept up with Card trading since I turned 12, but this looks like a decent little set. 20 different cards were produced, and in the 8 that my wife and I received, we were lucky enough to score Ovechkin, Semin, Backstrom, Green, Varlamov, and Fleischmann?!? See my tweet for the photo of that gem. The three Capitals cards that we didn’t receive were Laich, Knuble and Johansson. Which means that no cards were produced for Winter Classic standouts such as Eric Fehr. So we decided to create our own (after the jump) :
