Fun at the Capitals Street Festival

Capitals fans may have been a bit slow to filter into Verizon Center for Saturday’s game against Atlanta as they stayed outside to enjoy the family-friendly Capitals Street Festival sponsored by Capital One.

Kids and adults alike participated in activities such as face painting, dancing with the
Red Rockers, and testing their slap shot speed and shot accuracy. Rumor has it that longtime Cap Peter Bondra, Wizard John Wall, and Mystic Marissa Coleman made an appearance, not to mention Capital One’s mascot for those of you who’ve been dying to get a photo taken with him (He’s either a viking or barbarian, I believe.)

More photos after the jump.
