I noticed a few weeks ago when I started following Fox 5 sports reporter Lindsay Murphy (@LindsayMurf) on Twitter that, relative to many other local journalists, she barely had any followers (less than 100 at the time).
Today, she sent out this tweet:
After watching John Carlson @johncarlson74 and Karl Alzner @karlalzner compete for followers Friday night, today is now Follow Lindsay Murphy Day (unless, of course, another Capital joins Twitter – we’re hoping for Braden Holtby).
Our advice for Lindsay is to cover the Capitals better than any other local TV sports reporter, and she’ll find herself with more followers than she’d ever imagined.
