I don't think it's fair to argue against a 3-game suspension after watching the Patrice Cormier / Mikael Tam incident. Cheap shots like these are UNACCEPTABLE, and I sure hope it doesn't take another Bertuzzi/Moore incident for the league to smarten up.

I have been a die-hard Caps fan all my life, and usually find myself arguing against our suspensions, but this time, fair is fair.

On the same note, why didn't Kulikov get suspended for his knee-to-knee on Green??? Ovie received a game misconduct and a 2-game penalty for doing the EXACT same thing; a non-intentional knee to knee collision that was a result of reckless checking.

The NHL is so inconsistent in their suspensions, and for that reason, guys are going to continue to let their emotions get the best of them and play dirty or recklessly every once in a while. The league really needs to crack down on these types of behavior to send the message that it is not acceptable. I suppose that will never happen because violence improves television ratings, and at the end of the day, it's all about the $$$$... Player safety remains on the back burner...
