Erskine 2, Ovie 0

by Recap

Stay-at-home defenseman John Erskine had a goal – yes, a goal – and added an assist as the Caps defeated the Islanders, 7-2, Tuesday. Two-time league MVP Alex Ovechkin was held pointless.

Erskie earned second star of the game honors behind Alex Semin. It was Erskine’s 7th career goal in 306 games, and first in 110 games. Erskine’s career on-net shooting percentage is .03 percent.

The Capitals have the top offense in the league – there’s plenty of goals for everyone.
