IMG_2623Of all the national anthem singers at Capitals games this season, no one has brought the fans out of their seats and made them more patriotic than 12-year-old singing sensation Christian Stewart. Wednesday’s game against Buffalo was Stewart’s second Caps game, and if popular demand gets him more gigs, he’ll be singing at many more.

Last year, the Nationals held an open audition at ESPN Zone, and Stewart won the chance to sing the anthem at a Nats game. In two seasons, the Waldorf resident impressed the crowd twice at Nationals Park before he made his way over to the Caps.

Next up? He’s hoping for the Redskins next season, and if he gets it, that will guarantee one thing: The fans at FedEx Field will have something to cheer about.
