eBay Find: Neon Capitals Bar Sign
This is pretty damn cool, but it makes you wonder if the seller realizes that this is the old logo. Still, it would make a great addition to any Capitals themed room. So if you are in the market for a neon sign of the Capitals old eagle logo, head on over to eBay where you can find it for just $49.99. Hurry though, because the auction ends in just 9 hours!
Up in the Press Box
Capitals Outsider suddenly has been approved by the Capitals to get the inside scoop in the form of press credentials. So, here I am, up in the box with journalists from The Washington Post, The Washington Times, washingtoncaps.com, the Associated Press and many others for the Saturday night game against Eastern Conference rivals Carolina Hurricanes.
Random Jersey: Sarah Palin?
In this installment of Random Jersey, we bring you a Sarah Palin #12. Obviously the 12 represents 2012, the year this devoted fan believes Sarah will be elected president. Good luck with that buddy. This is clearly one of the worst investments ever, and makes my Jagr jersey purchase seem comparably smart. This photo comes to us via Dan Steinberg’s D.C. Sports Bog. Have you seen any random jerseys at the phone booth? That guy who still clings to his Pat Peake or John Druce sweater? Someone still sporting the Mike Liut or Byron Dafoe? If so, shoot a picture [...]
eBay Find: Tabarraci and Burridge Autographed Photos
If you happen to be collecting Capitals autographed photographs, and lack just Rick Tabaracci and Randy Burridge to complete your collection, then today is your lucky day! That’s right folks, for a limited time only (auction ends on the 18th), you can pick up these two pieces of Capitals lore for a mere $20 combined, including shipping. That is assuming the lucky bastard who is selling these gems is willing to combine shipping.

Drum Line Outside of Verizon Center
Via Capitals Kremlin comes this video of the Capitals Drum Line. I hadn’t seen these guys, because I typically do not enter via that entrance. It might be worth the walk around the building. Bravo!
Fight Night in Nashville
In a night that saw Donald Brashear get knocked to the ice by a stiff left from Wade Belak, Matt Bradley get horribly bloodied by Jordan Tootoo, and essentially a draw between John Erskine and Belak, the Capitals were happy to make it out of Nashville in one piece, let alone with the victory. In the end though, they took the game 2-1 on the Fedorov overtime winner. Unfortunately the game didn’t go as well in the tough guy department. As always, we thank Hockey Fights for the video. And one more Eastern Motors video…
And just to add to our post yesterday, here’s Alexander Ovechkin making a fool of himself singing the Eastern Motors rap song. At least he’s aware of the hilarity of it all…
