I think Ovechkin is the most entertaining guy on the ice, amazing player to watch from a fan point of view. Just wish he would cut the clown celebrations out. The crap with the burning stick kind of took away from how good he is last night.

Crosby was mentioned in the article because Don Cherry brought him up, in relation to celebrating goals. Cherry inferred that Cindy celebrates goals the right way, unlike the classless European Ovechkin. I merely pointed out how much class it takes to punch someone in the nuts from behind. Old time Canadian Hockey, or Fast, exciting, entertaining “New” Hockey? I’ll take the later.

Ovechkin is the best player, and biggest star in the league. Despite what many may say about his this celebration, it was a one time thing that he did for his 50th goal, and to spite Don Cherry. He doesn’t make a regular habit of scripting celebrations, and for anyone in the NHL to criticize him is just a little bit silly. Ovechkin makes hockey relevant again, and his personality and star quality is what you need more of in the league, not less. Typical Caps article. They can’t write a single thing related to hockey without bringing Sid into the equation. Ovechkin seems to think his antics are bringing a “breat of fresh air” to hockey. Hopefully someone takes this prick down soon.

I think people have been saying for years how Ovechkin will take a run at the “wrong guy”. I guess it will eventually happen, but so far the predictions have rung hollow. Seems like unnecessary bickering between Ovechkin fans and Crosby fans. Almost as bad as Democrats and Republicans.
